What are skin tags?

Skin tags – also known as skin tags or fibromas – are soft, benign skin growths that usually protrude from the skin on stalks. They are usually skin-colored or slightly brownish and often develop due to friction in skin folds or from tight clothing. Although harmless, they are often perceived as annoying, especially in visible areas.
